Originally the home of a well-to-do merchant, Dikmanska gården, built after the town fire of 1761 (the structural timber for the house being felled in the winter of 1762-3), is probably the best preserved manor house in the area.
There are also a number of farm buildings in the grounds, such as cattle sheds and pigsties. In the early 1800s, there were 10-15 farmhands and maids working there. In more recent times, the Dikman family ran a sausage factory here until 1959.
