Experience the rolling landscapes of southern Dalarna via the Bruksleden trail, which takes you through forests and fields to some of Avesta's most appreciated attractions. Bruksleden has a total of 27 stages, and 2 of them are located in Avesta.

Starting Point: Several possible starting points, such as Lillsjön, Tråbacken, Krylbo, etc. See maps via link.
Length: 12–250 km. The entire Bruksleden is 250 km long, and the sections through Avesta are approximately 12 km.
Trail Marking: The trail is marked with orange paint on trees and poles.
Difficulty Level: Easy to medium. Somewhat hilly trail on varied surfaces, mostly paths but also gravel roads and short stretches on asphalt.
Trail Description: The sections through Avesta are easy to hike and take you through both forest and urban environments, as well as nature reserves. Attractions you can make short detours to along the way include Avesta Bison Park, Gamla Byn, the world's largest Dala horse, and Verket-Avesta Art.
