Villa Bergli

Newly opened (2021) self-catering hotel. Hotel room - with a bit of a home feeling. Self-catering hotel where you as a guest check in / out yourself. Breakfast buffet. No staff on site, but can be reached by phone. In total there are six rooms with new comfortable beds, Wifi, TV and WC / washbasin in each room and shared shower on the ground floor. Shared large kitchen and dining room as well as a serving area where you as a guest eat from the breakfast buffet at the time that suits you. On the second floor is the English library / living room.

Description

Villa Bergli was founded in 1949. It was the author Aino Trosell's parents who built the house and Aino herself was born and raised in villa Bergli. The very frame of the house is Malung's old hospital which was built in the 19th century and demolished again in the mid-40s.

Villa Bergli was ready -49. The family lived in the villa themselves and rented out the remaining rooms to traveling people, mostly in the leather industry during the weeks and weekends it was forest workers who rented.
As it is an old building, there is no disabled access or elevator between the floors.
